Our tennis players have had a busy few weeks. The Aegon girls' A team beat Maynard 12-0 just before half-term and have qualified for the Regional finals in Exeter later this month.

Over half-term Caitlin McLoughlin played in the U14 Winter National Tour (WNT) at Bath and James Sclater and Francesca Davis both played in the U12 WNT in Gosling. Francesca reached the quarter-final of the consolation and James has been selected as an LTA Aegon Future Star. Caitlin also won the U16 Grade 3 singles and doubles (with Ellen Jones) at Ivybridge and will move to a 4.2 rating at the next ratings run.

Charlie Ruffell won the Grade 3 Mini Orange Tournament at The Birchwood Junior Open in Cheshire, the Grade 3 at Shrewsbury and the Grade 4 at Martock. Niamh McLoughlin came 3rd in the Mini Orange Grade 4 at Lansdown and played the Grade 3 in Southampton. Both Charlie and Niamh have qualified for the Grade 3 Winter Regional Tour at Taunton this weekend.

Jo Champion won the U14 girls singles at the Grade 5 in Wells and Calum Jessett won the U14 Boys consolation. He also reached the final of the U12 singles in Sherborne and has moved up to an 8.2.
